Q: Is there a grade to leather cords? How do I tell which one is the best brand?

A: When it comes to bolo cording, the thickness of the leather plaits used to make the braid is important, just as the actual thickness of the leather braiding. The best way to determine which is best for you and your design is to determine what kind of material the bolo cord is made from; true leather or pleather/leatherette (a faux leather), or woven cording.
