Obviously they are thin, so it's expected that they will be flimsy. Works alright for what I need it to do though.

Q: I am a newbie I am using 8mm glass beads, which needle should I purchase?

A: The needles you use will be based on the size of the hole in the beads you are working with, rather than the diameter of the bead itself. You will want to have a variety of needles in your toolbox. This three piece assortment is a great starter kit to work with a variety of beads.
