These will contain your tiniest millie pearls, gems, beads, designs. A standardized size, means repeatable consistancy in cutouts of polymer clay, metal clay. Layout your gem design with culets(point) up, place a layer of tissue or two, snap the bottom on, turn over and see the Gems for your next creation. It is best to use 'write on' scotch tape, it removes from these containers more cleanly than the clear tape. You can also run the tape around the parameter catching just a bit of the top surface. The top piece is the one that is a tad wider and fits 'over', not 'inside' the other. Of course these are great for coins, I use a small piece of anti-tarnish (silver/gold/any metal) paper then some acid free paper (gem storage) then the coin. Long term storage but you can view your coin. You can photo copy the opposit side and tape this to the bottom of the holder. This is better proection than a zip lock. I have seen coins not weather an earthquake, flood, sand storm, fire. Your coins can be recovered even from a melted case, no molecular bond. Zip locks will and you will only receive scape metal returned after removal of all surface areas. Recovery sold at a Fire Sale by Insurance Agent. Fire safes protect up to a 'Rated Temperature Degree For A Set Amount Of Time'. Items will still get hot inside and some items may melt, if not contained, they could damage other items. Cooling inside a container will help you in recovery and inventory. Gold does not tarnish, except when stored exposed to inks from documents, paper dyes on currency, acids and chemicals from other contents in a closed air tight or restricted space. Soft Gems like organics- Pearls, turquoise can obsorb these contaminates as well, even if not touching.
