Q: Does magic boric have hydrochloric acid in it. Is it harmful to skin?

Magic Boric is very different from hydrochloric acid, the two are not related. Magic Boric is used to reduce surface oxidation and firescale from forming on metals when soldering two pieces together.

As far as skin safety, Magic Boric may cause irritation or redness, so we recommend using gloves or a pair of copper tongs to dip your piece in the Magic Boric solution.

Q: Since the Boric is a cleaner less toxic process, does that eliminate the need for an exhaust fan in addition to just proper ventilation?

A: Proper ventilation is sufficient with this item.
