Why do I need this item?

Hammering wire or sheet against a smooth, solid, surface is necessary in order to "harden" the material so that it will retain its' finished shape. Use this item in conjunction with our HA223 Chasing Hammer, or HA422 Rawhide Hammer.

Good quality

This is a wonderful addition to my hobby of making small things with wire and beads. The block serves to allow me to harden soft wire and also to create smoother shapes. It is small enough to tuck into a spot near my work space.
