Rosy Necklace Project

N2013

This project sponsored by:

  1. Cut the 2' length of chain into four 6" lengths of chain.
  2. Cut or remove the jump rings that are already attached to the filigree clasp and open the two 5mm jump rings. Use the jump rings to attach two lengths of chain to each side of the filigree clasp.
  3. Pick up an eye pin and an ivory color gemstone pearl. Thread the pearl onto the eye pin and then make a simple loop with the remaining wire. Make sure that the loop you make is perpendicular to the loop on the other side. Pick up another eye pin and ivory gemstone pearl and make another simple loop the same way you did before, attaching both of the beaded eyepins together. Use all of the remaining ivory gemstone pearls to create a beaded chain. Re-open the outside loops on this beaded chain and attach each half to the free chain link on the INSIDE chain. Close the loops securely.
  4. Repeat the beaded chain process again, except you'll be using the pink coral gemstone pearls. When complete, open the loops on either end of this length of beaded chain and attach each half to the free chain link on the OUTSIDE chain. Close the loops securely.
  5. Pick up a head pin and a red coral pear shaped pearl. Thread the pearl on and then begin to make a wrapped loop. Before closing off the loop, attach it to the first loop of the third pink coral gemstone pearl on the outside strand of the necklace (refer to the above picture for specifics if this is unclear). Repeat this same step again making sure that you attach each of the following red coral gemstone pearls to the first loop of each of the following links in the pink coral chain (again, refer to the picture above for specifics if this is unclear).
