Glad I Found These!

Glad I found these because it is nice to have Swiss-made blades in a variety of sizes. I use them for wax, heavy gauge sheet, and finer gauge wire. There is a blade for almost every need!

A: BR180 is recommended for drilling and sawing to cut down on heat and friction.

Q: I am a beginner in silver making, what is the different between the size of the Saw Blades 1,2,3,4,5,6 & what reach one used to cut metals and wax bar?

Saw blades are numbered according to the amount of teeth per inch on each blade. The lower the number, the less teeth per inch, which allows for a finer cut. Our Saw Blades category is organized by size,
from finest to heaviest cut.

The #2/0 Saw Blade is a good all-around blade for cutting metal. For wax, you will want to use a heavy blade like the #4 Saw Blade.

Q: Is there such a thing as a round jeweler's saw blade that would let me make a right angle turn at the end of a straight cut? I am cutting plastic, not metal but need precise cuts. My straight cuts are perfect, but I must turn 90 degrees. Thanks Hank

A: The thinner your sheet is the more teeth per inch you will want to use.

Q: what blade for what thickness of copper sheet?

A: the minimum you want is 2.5 teeth to engage at any one time for the thickness of your metal. You look into the blade chart and see how many teeth / inch or mm the blade has, and decide based on the thickness of the material you want to cut accordingly.

A: If you are doing detailed work you will want a blade with more teeth per inch. For less detailed you can use blades with less teeth.
