Our top quality Bolo Slide Locks fit almost any cord size from 2mm to 3.5mm. Made of bass metal and Nickel Plated. Featuring a flip up style lock, these Bolo Clasps will give years of service. These easy to use Bolo Slides can be glued onto any flat surface to create a unique design. Glue on your favorite bauble, coin or gemstone with glue or epoxy. Our favorite glue is E6000.

A bolo tie (sometimes bola tie or shoestring necktie) is a type of necktie consisting of a piece of cord or braided leather with decorative metal tips – secured with al clasp or slide.

A: soldering sterling to nickel can be difficult. You might have success using Hard Silver Solder SL700 as it has a very high melting temp.

Q: Will this work with 5mm leather bolo cord? The description says it fits most up to 6mm but I have some old slides (not sure where they’re from) that are similar to these and my 5mm cord won’t fit through the locking mechanism but does fit through the top loops. Has anyone tried these with 5mm leather?

Q: Do these pinch the leather when fastened? i.e. will they leave a mark on a 4mm cord after every use?

A: They will leave a very slight pinch but not enough to cause damage to the bolo cord.

Q: I have old Bennett clasp (1960's and up to 1983) and want to know if the bolo cord will fit this? What will work a 3mm or 4mm?

A: These are designed to fit 4mm size bolo cords, but we have found they will also fit slightly smaller cord as well. Thanks

Q: You claim 2-6 mm cord in general description but in Q & A you indicate it fits a 4mm cord. My cord is 1/8” or 3.5 mm ....... will your clasp work for me?
