Our Easy Silver Solder is perfect for Sterling Silver Jewelry making and repairs. It's low temperature melting point of 1240° makes it ideal for delicate work. Works great with our Butane Soldering Torch.

This 20 gauge easy solder wire is simple to cut off as many pieces as the job requires. Use this solder with sterling or fine silver, or other white metals. Its low melting point makes it ideal for simple soldering jobs or in the final join in a soldering sequence. This solder is perfect for sterling silver jewelry making and repairs.

Our cadmium-free, user-friendly silver solder available in convenient 20-gauge wire form. Easily snip off the required pieces for your task with precision. The wire solder is versatile, perfect for both traditional soldering and 'stick' soldering techniques, enabling you to feed solder seamlessly as you work. Q: What is the chemical formula (or common name) of this particular solder alloy? I would like to read more about it on the Wikipedia Solder Alloys article, but I can't find an exact match based on the product description here. Would you be able to tell the alloy's name or formula?

A: The alloys for this solder is Silver 50-75%, Zinc 0-25% and copper 20-40%.

Q: I used to use silver solder to make a solid connection on copper, would this solder adhere to a slight break on the back of a gold ring?

A: It is not recommended. Silver is a good conductor of heat, meaning that heat application must be high in order to complete the soldering process. Gold, on the other hand, is a poor conductor of heat and can melt under the high heat used on silver.

Q: Can a soldering iron be used for this solder? If so, is it the same melting point with an iron?

A: A soldering iron will only get up to about 700 degrees. You will need to use a torch with this solder.

Q: I use to sell Certainum alloy silver solder to bell helicopter in Ft Worth Texas ..... the silver solder application was it bonded at !12 deg and would free flow around, upward and any direction where their was heat...My son does plumbing work and fights soldering the cooper tubes.. Please advise ?

A: Unfortunately, we are unable to advise on the types of solder used in soldering copper tubes for pluming. They may have a special type of solder that is required. This solder is used for small jewelry repair.

Q: I'm soldering brass and want the solder to match or come close to the color of the base metal. Is there a solder that has a yellow finish instead of silver? I was told to look for EZ Flo, but this appears to be a silver finish.
