Crimp tubes for stretch cords are longer crimps made specifically to hold without knotting. Use crimping pliers for the strongest hold and for added security, add a small amount of bead glue inside the crimp just before crimping. These tubes fit any 1mm diameter stretch cord.

Q: Not using these yet I can't help but wonder how you would keep cord tight to prevent unwanted space between beads? Any tips or tricks?

A: To complete a stretch bracelet using this you would thread your cord in opposite directions inside the crimp then pull both ends until it is tight enough then using a crimping tool such as our PL582 to crimp the tube closed.

Q: These crimp tube do they work on elastic 1/4 mm in diameter?

A: The hole size is 1.5mm. As long as your elastic is smaller than that they should work.

Q: What is the base metal?

A: Our crimp tubes are composed of base metal. Base metal is a generally accepted term for a number of non-precious metals used in manufacturing for jewelry findings and assorted parts. Usually base metal contains copper, lead, aluminum, zinc, nickel and tin. We can’t tell you the exact composition.
