1) Take the 7mm crystal ab flatback and glue it to the very center of the buckle (To find the center, measure from each of the interior points on the star to the center. The interior points are where each arm of the star meets - if you look at the picture above, there's a crystal AB flatback glued to each of these points).

2) Following the picture above, create a ring around the 7mm with alternating 5mm and 3mm crystal flatbacks.

3) Glue one 3mm crystal ab flatback on the outside of the 5mm crystal flatbacks glued on in step #2. Make sure that these crystal ab flatbacks are glued so that they're also in line with the star points. When these crystal ab flatbacks are glued down, glue three 3mm crystal flatbacks between each of the 3mm crystal ab flatbacks. Now your ring should start resembling a pentagon and only the points of the stars now need to be glued up with flatbacks.

4) For the points of the star: glue one 5mm crystal flatback between each of the crystal ab flatbacks glued in the previous step. Glue one 4mm crystal flatback between the two 5mm crystal flatbacks that you just glued down. This won't lay in a straight across line, but that's what we're looking for here. Glue another 4mm crystal flatback down on the outside of the first 4mm crystal flatback glued down. Now squeeze three 3mm crystal flatbacks at the very tip of the star point and in the spaces between the second 4mm crystal flatback and 5mm crystal flatbacks (these three 3mm crystal flatbacks will line up like a triangle when done correctly). Repeat this step for the other four star points. Done.
