I am using Opelon to make bracelets for a non profit to sell

Product creates almost invisible knots. Don't like that it tends to shred.

Exactly what I needed

I didn't buy my cord from Jewelry Supply, I got it from a store. But now that I know Jewelry Supply carries it, I will only buy from here! Awesome product. Super durable, yet stretchy and flexible. It seems flimsy but you can stretch it nearly forever before it breaks. 10/10

Trying a different brand

The product was ok, my only complaint is that it frays easily. It is not as strong as I heard it was. I'm not sure if this is just because of the brand, so i have ordered a different brand of opelon. Other then it fraying, the product is stretchy, easy to use and easy to tie.

Haven't used it yet

This is the first time I've ordered opelon stretch cord. It gets good reviews but I've also read it has a tendency to shred. I'm going to be using this product to make bracelets without any metal beads which hopefully will deter any shredding.

Harder to insert in beads without needle

The strength of the fiber is good but I find it hard to get through the holes of beads without needle. It's also hard to run a second string back through the beads. I have tried running two strands through at one time but it's too difficult. Bear in mind though that it is a strong fiber.

Q: can i use this for small hole beads and will i need a needle if so,what size?

A: Your beads will need to have a hole larger than .7mm to use this cord. Our BN712 is a good needle choice to use with this cord.

A: To measure your own bead use a series of solid wire of known size, make sure there are no burrs. Better still, obtain a set of tiny drills often used for Dremel power drills. Use the shank of the drill as a gauge.
